Succession Plan for MW Legal Services

    Existing Client base

In the event of MW Legal Services being sold part of any contract of sale would include the database of existing clients for outgoing contact and websites, email addresses and telephone numbers for incoming contact.

In a disaster situation such as death or incapacity of the current owner, Matt Walkden, then James Elliot, the company Accountant would be authorised to dispose of the company database to a reasonable recipient.

    Wills in Storage

All wills of MW Legal Services clients who have taken up the storage option have their wills stored at Kings Court Trust Corporation who have provided MW Legal Services with the following Statement:

“If KCTC were to cease trading, then an Administrator would be in charge to resolve aspects of the company’s liabilities to clients and partners. The Wills are stored with Restore so there is very little risk to testators or partners in returning the Wills to them. The Will indexing and numbering system that we use internally clearly marks which Will is associated with which Introducer so it would be perfectly possible to identify all MW Legal Services Wills for retrieval at any time.

The will storage facility itself is a disused MOD bunker located in Wiltshire (between Corsham and Box).  Further details of the storage company can be found at www.restore.co.uk
