New Years Resolution

Yet again it’s the time of year when many people who don’t have a will, and there’s about 40 Million of them in this country, make a list of all the things that they are going to promise themselves to do in the new year. It’s time for a new start, turn over a new leaf and get their ducks in a row, their affairs in order etc.

So the list that people make up has a few achievable items on there and a few not so achievable, people think of themselves and their loved ones making the list and some typical examples of the sorts of things that go on there are;

  • Lose some weight
  • change my job
  • save some money
  • book a holiday
  • visit my parents more often
  • make a will
  • visit the Caribbean
  • join a gym
  • drink less
  • eat more healthily

The list above is very similar to many that are made out and experts in the field say that you’re more likely to hit those targets if you actually write them down and hang them on your fridge with a fridge magnet!

The one in the middle is the one I’m going to talk about, “write my will”.

It ticks so many boxes and so many people have it on their new years resolution list (and often on their day-to-day “to do” list) but it’s so easily overlooked, most of the others don’t involve reflecting on your own mortality, but it’s such an important one. You’re thinking of your loved ones and doing both yourself and them a favour. They’ll thank you for it when you die because if you hadn’t written your will they’d never really be sure about what you want, isn’t it better to have your loved ones knowing that they were special in your life?

Using my system is really simple, click on the relevant picture on the right hand column, either single will if it’s just for you or joint will if you’re in a relationship/married etc. and complete the simple single page form, make payment at the end via the fabulously secure PayPal system either using your won PayPal account or by credit/debit card then I’ll email your draft will over to you for you to check within 2 working days and then, once approved by you, I’ll print the original and post it to you with full signing instructions.
