The Ministry of Justice have decided not to make Will Writing a Regulated activity quoting that “The evidence provided in the report indicates that there is consumer detriment in the will-writing market, and that reservation of will writing activities as defined in the recommendation could address this detriment. However, it does not adequately demonstrate that reservation is the best solution.”
This is good news for the industry and the consumer, my clients, as regulation, whilst ensuring that all Will Writers adopt the same standards, might have confined activities to the sort of High Street Solicitors that my clients use my online Will Writing service to avoid, along with the traditional High Street Solicitor fees that my clients also avoid.
