Your Will Writing Questions Answered

Q. My husband and I wish to leave everything we have to our 2 children. It is very straightforward.  Could you please let me know if this is a legal document and there is no need to contact a solicitor for the will writing.
A.The Wills that this site provide are excellent Legal Documents and have been proved many times. There is no need to contact a Solicitor in any way, you can make your Legal Will online here and now.

Q. My husband and I have recently married. We each have 2 children from previous marriages. Can we make a joint will or do we have to make separate wills?
A. No, Joint Wills are fine, they don't have to say exactly the same things, you can have different requests on each will.

Q. If I take out a will using your service how will you know when I have died and how will my bank etc know that you have stored  a copy of my will?

A. When you use our storage service your will is checked to ensure that the signing process went well and that makes sure that your will is a legal document. Your will then goes into storage and you receive a certificate for your records and cards for each of your executors saying where your will is being stored and how to get hold of your will in the event of your death.

Q. My sister lives in canada is it alright to make her an executor?

A. Yes, just bear in mind that the practicalities of the logistics may be difficult.

Q. What are, in your opinion, the reasons why one should have a will. I am not married but have lived with my partner of 25 years. We have a 12 month old son, and have a property together. We don't own anything extravagantly expensive.

A. Without a Will you cannot control who gets your assets in the event of your death but with a will you can say who gets what and at what age you allow them to inherit. Also, without a Will you cannot nominate Guardians for your children so the courts would have to decide whereas, if you write your will you can nominate the people you trust and who your children know to be Guardians.
